WRI Ross Center for Sustainable Cities will participate in the following events at the 2019 ITF Summit:
TUMIVolt Conference and E-Bus Workshop (May 21-22)
In cooperation with the ITF 2019 Summit, the Transformative Urban Mobility Initiative (TUMI) – the flagship urban mobility initiative funded by the German government – is holding a high-level conference on electric mobility. Emma Stewart will host a session on financing for electric mobility and Camron Gorguinpour, Ryan Sclar and Xiangyi Li will launch two parallel WRI reports on the barriers and enablers to electric bus adoption for cities. They will also host an interactive training for city and national officials on e-bus adoption.
Presentation on Digital Transport Mapping (May 22)
To expand awareness of digital mapping and digital transport resource centers in Africa and Latin America, Ben Welle will give a presentation titled “Digital Transport: Mapping Public Transport for Innovation and Integration in Africa, Latin America and Beyond.”
Launch of World Resources Report Transport Thematic Paper (May 23)
The sixth WRR thematic paper, "From Mobility to Access for All: Expanding Urban Transportation Choices in the Global South," will launch at ITF with a media event featuring a presentation by Anjali Mahendra and Sergio Avelleda on the paper's findings.
Improving Connectivity and Accessibility throughout Micromobility Panel (May 23)
Carlos Pardo will be a panelist in a session hosted by NUMO, ITF and Grow Mobility convening experts to discuss successfully planning for and implementing micromobility in cities.
Improving Access in Cities: Findings from Europe and Latin America (May 24)
Sergio Avelleda will provide insights on improving access in cities, drawing on the newly launched WRR working paper.
